What a fabulous pair of little hanging kettles. The bigger one is 11″ in diameter x 4″ deep and with the handle up it is 9 1/2″ tall. The smaller one is 9 1/2″ in diameter x 4″ deep and 9 1/2″ tall. We believe them to be cast iron. The exterior has a wonderful rusty patina, and the interior is also rusty, though it is a bit more of a lighter surface rust. I think it looks great. I do not know their full history, but they were found in the 1939 in a chair table storage area in a farm in New England and were already rustic back then. From there we believe there are at least 100 years old. There is a lot of visual appeal in a relatively small package and will had a nice touch to any vintage décor. Or hang them out in the garden with some flowers spilling out of them, It would look sensational.
