A charming pre midcentury ice bucket or ice bowl, American clear glass, circa late 1930s-early 1940s. The Scotty dog glass collectible craze began when President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Scottish Terrier, named Fala, won the adoration of the American public.
The ice bucket shows an enameled pattern of black Scotty dogs. A red checked running border bands the lower area of the bucket, a radiating star cut base.
In the Art Deco style, by Hazel-Atlas Glass.
