An exquisite pair of 19th century handcrafted and later on hand painted and Decorated Signed Sally Nolan Plank Seat Side Chairs. Sally Nolan is a mother, grandmother, former teacher, Air Force Veteran, a New Hampshire blueberry farmer, and recognized folk artist. Sally maintained a studio in a Bay of Fundy village in Nova Scotia, and now has her workshop in New England. Sally creates stylized folk scenes of a “Young America”, of the 18th & 19th century, many painted on barrel staves and chairs.
Chairs measure 18″ in width, 18″ in depth and 34″ in height with a seat height of 16.5″. Seat measures 15.5″ wide and 13″ in depth. The second chair measures 18″ in width, 18″ in depth and 33″ in height. Seat height is 16.5′ and seat measures 15.5″ in width and 13″ in depth.
