Vintage Design
‘Introduced in Italy in 1954, TV sets require a special station in the living rooms of the time given the large size and weight of the first cathode ray tube models. The need comes about for a robust, functional stand that is also manageable. Parisi design this television stand for De Baggis: the stand itself sits on two X-shaped supports, the legs of which decrease in thickness as they approach the floor. the support are closed at the top and joined together by wooden slats. This design means the stand is easy to dismantle and transport, thanks also to the four small swivel wheels.”
