A counter-height stool executed in American black walnut and with a sculptural, free edge seat in maple burl by Oregon-based craftsman, Michael Elkan. Walnut has a warm, reddish hue and beautiful figure, providing striking contrast against the seat. Elkan’s work is highly regarded by both collectors and his peers, including George Nakashima who sold some his live edge boxes through his studio during the 1980s. Circa 1990.
