This is a classic small New England mid-18th century tavern table. The table top is pine with breadboard ends; the supporting frame is maple. This type of table was prevalent in Colonial era and was commonly found in taverns and homes. This table is in very good sturdy condition with good natural patina. The surface is old, but not original; traces of the original black surfaces remain. This table is ready for another 200 years of use as a side table, bedside table or even a small coffee table.
