A studio crafted oiled black American walnut sculptural chair in the manner of George Nakashima designed and made by Japanese American George Suyeoka, furniture builder, artist , writer . Living in Chicago George crafted this chair which folds flat in walnut , brass with leather straps , signed by the artist to the seat bottom in ink and in pencil it states ” prototype chair for Fritz Hansen ” . He is best known for his memories about being in Peal Harbor during the bombing and his books titled ” The Adventure of Momotaro “.
