19th century American lidded box. The box is circular and is grain painted to look like burl wood. The box is banded with wrapped wooden straps, hand painted in god to have the look of brass. The box has a hinged lid which lifts to reveal storage. The interior of the box is painted in the original blue/green color. This is a fabulous piece of early Americana.
