This beautifully preserved hand-tinted mezzotint of William Innes and caddy, engraved by Valentine Green, from the painting by Lemuel Francis Abbott showcases the original masters of golf. Stunningly rendered and impeccably created in the mezzotint process, this framed piece is one of few left. The estimated date of print is around 1790 or slightly earlier. This is the first golf print ever published. The whites of the paper have been maintained by way of professional framing and hanging in a place that was free from direct light. The exceptionally done tinting adds that special tough that brings this piece alive with visual dimension and rich color! Perfect as a gift or an addition to an office or den.
