Peter Pellettieri (1939-1997), was a Fulbright Scholar and recipient of a grant from the Italian Government. His work is represented in the permanent collections of major museums, and during his career he executed many important commissions. From 1970 until he retired he taught sculpture and glass blowing at Southern Connecticut State University. The studio in which he taught has been renamed in his honor. In 1997 The Slater Memorial Museum, Nowich Conn. held a retrospective exhibition of his work.
