The Garden Street Pier Mount Lanterns were inspired by a Historic house in Santa Barbara. This house was originally built in 1895 as a Queen Ann Victorian. In 1904 it was purchased by the 2nd owner who remodeled it. The popular style was now Craftsman. He hired the famous arcitectects, Green & Green to re-style their new house. The result was an interesting hybrid of Craftsman and Queen Ann styles. That combination of those styles was used to design the Garden Street wrought iron lantern.
