Antique American oak roll/tambour top Railway ticket cabinet, circa 1920, by Poole Bros., of Chicago.
The cabinet having a locking tabour roll, that runs free and smooth, enclosed are a series of shelves to store railway tickets. The base has a brass escutcheon to lock the cabinet and to the top is a brass nameplate with “Poole Bros Manufacturers Chicago”, there is also the original paper label to the rear of the cabinet.
The roll top runs fine, the cabinet is in excellent original condition, a rare survivor in great condition.
