Contemporary Design
The design has its origin in the work itself. The starting point is the contour of the chair legs. The prerequisite is a perfectly shaped armchair that takes on classic elegance and combines contemporary simplicity. Contrary to the usual efforts of craftsmen to avoid curves and arches, here contact is welcomed and functionally implemented. The seating area results from the arrangement of the four uniform chair legs. Three curved segments form two armrests and the backrest and enclose the body of the seated person. The arms rest on a slight slope.
Sufficient availability, local roots, patient longevity and a characteristic style are the characteristics that determine the material selection. The connections between frames and legs are created using milled pins. The curved segments of the armrest are connected to each other and to the legs of the chair by means of dowels. The surface is treated with an organic hard wax oil, which further enhances the character of the oak and gives it warmth.
